My son tries to drink his bottles too fast and the formula is always spilling out of the sides of his mouth. I use good start with iron, its the liquid one in a can that once its open it can stay in the fridge for 48hours and you just mix an equal amout of formula with water and once a bottles made its good in the fridge for 24hours and i believe out of the fridge for 1 hour. so if he doesnt finish it and say theres 2 oz left out of 4 then i can put in the fridge and when hes hungry again i can just add an oz of formula and an oz of water. Maybe you could talk to your babys doctor about switching to a liquid formula insted of powder because i believe they last longer in the fridge then the powder. -hope i helped.

my son has been on formula for the past 6months (he is 18months), he doesn't always finish his bottle but i wouldn't consider it him wasting it as he feeds until he has had enough and if there is still some left well at least he has been gorging himself until he is overfull!. maybe decrease the amount by 50mls if it is continuously unfinished and/or increase the amount of feeds so baby is still getting enough milk..

Both my babies wasted more than they drunk in the first few months. But if your baby is leaving some, it means he/she full.

My kids have all been breast fed so this has never been a question for us. But I think if they don't finish it, it is good. They should learn good eating habits now. We don't make our olders kids finish everything off their plates so why would I be upset by the littlest ones not being able to finish thier "plates"
