No, chickens can't swim like ducks.

The body shapes of chickens and ducks is considerably different, ducks having evolved to live part time in water and to dive and find some of their food in water. If you watch ducks walk on land, they kind of waddle. The shape of their legs is more suitable for living on water than walking on land.

Chickens are land animals and find all of their food on land. Their feet have evolved differently than have duck feet. Chicken feet are useful for scratching and finding food under things. Duck feet are webbed and useful for swimming.

Prolly not because the duck secret specially oil to make their feathers waterproof, a chicken doesn't need to be in/on the water and therefore when wet, it feather stick to eachother, making it not not float.

In response to chickens can swim cause they got wings......ducks used web feet to swim.....not wings.
