It's not the Jhonny Cash version, It was sang by a black man and a gospel chorus. I heard it in Germany, then in sweden and later in Venezuela radio. Any idea?

Never heard that version of U2´s song "One"

But in 2000 Johnny Cash released the album "American III:Solitary Man" that contained a fantastic version of "One"

I'm not familiar with it either... but I'd love to hear it.

Mary J. Blige remade the song last year with U2 backing her up. She put a lot of gospel in the lyrics... basically, she took the song to church. It was very good.
