His oldest son died, which made him stop doing television for awhile. I hear he is coming back though, to do what? I don't know. but his Bill Cosby as Himself is still the funniest stand up comedy out there. If you haven't seen it I highly reccomend that you do.

Bill Cosby is getting at the point of his career where he cannot have the same kind of schedule he had in his prime. He cannot do movies, act, host tv shows, and have a comedy tour like he used to. Reason being that he is a senior now. He has spent twenty years entertaining his fans and making us laugh. Now it is his time to relax, be with his family and live his life as Bill Cosby the regular joe; not the Jello guy.
He is not completely done with his career however. Last summer he came to my hometown in Waterbury, Connecticut and did a show at the Palace Theatre. He didn't do what I would call "stand up comedy" but he talked to the people and made them laugh. My cousin is the head of the stage crew for the theatre and the chair Bill sat in during his show was my cousin's!!
So I think he is living his life according to his own schedule. For a man his age, doing what you love when you want to do it has to be the greatest feeling in the World.

Bill will be 70 on July 12th. I hope he's relaxing and having fun.

I think he ate SO MUCH CHOCOLATE CAKE on his way to the CAROB FARM that he forgot what he started out for and he decided to get off on VANILLA BEAN avenue.
(as himself of course)
I think he was trying to get one up on PRYOR if you know what I mean...
