Great idea. You can start by getting the 'police report' that was made and then begin by interviewing all of the key witnesses, from George to Daisy and Gatsby, the Greek from across the street and the African-American gentleman. It's all there and it is set up perfectly for a newspaper article.

One thing you may want to do is check out your local newspaper and see if they have any stories about car crashes or something like that. How do they address the issue.

And one final note, are you going to be just a reporter or are you going to be a investigative journalist who seeks the truth? It could be a lot more fun if you are investigating the crime, behind the scenes.

Who What When Where Why - that's how you write a newspaper story. Your story answers all of those questions. You must watch the news - who do they interview when somebody gets killed in a hit and run? The grieving husband? The neighbors who say what a nice person they were? The doctors at the hospital who tell what the injuries were? This is a very straighforward easy assignment. Now get off Yahoo and get to work. Pax - C.
