Hollister/abercrombie?

do you think those stores are really expensive??? Why are they so expensive? Why do you like them ? just wondering thanks!

Yeah i agree. I love their clothes! I am a big prep and they have really cute clothes. Their jeans fit me perfectly and i am willing to pay that high price. I wrote them a letter once and they said it is because of their "high quality clothes". I decided to shop at Platos closet. They have a lot of their stuff. I like Abercromibe better than Hollister, but the clothes aren't that bad of prices compared to others such as Lilly Pulitzer or some Ralph Lauren. I wouldn't say either of them is really that "preppy" (especially Hollister), more trendy. I really like Abercrombie because they make clothes that will fit me. I have long legs and am skinny so it seems that all jeans are made for people with big butt, hips and thighs, which I don't have, so Abercrombie (the kids store) fits the bill. The are be "expensive" because of the fabrics and the quality they have. Though the fabrics aren't top of the line, they fit for thier price range well. But, I usually don't get the the t-shirts with "ABERCROMBIE" plastered across the chest, thats just plain tacky, just the clothing with small insignia. The clothes fit people that are like me and they have jeans that are a godsend.

I dont think that there expenisve but I do think that they could be cheaper. They are so expensive because a lot of teenagers like to wear them and they ask their parents for money and go to the mall with there parents credit cards and buy all this stuff. I like them because if you wear something from that store, then everyone knows that you have some sort of money and they know how expensive the clothes were especially if you wear abercrombie jeans!!

I don't think they are expensive, but I would rather pay more for other brands that are of higher quality. Hollister and Abercrombie clothing isn't poor quality nor is it high quality. I think so many people like them just because of the brand name and they think they are better than others who don't have them. Most of their clothing is imported from places such as Mexico, Dominican Republic, etc. I try to stick with clothing from the U.S. and Italy or even France as much as I can.

About Hollister:
I don't think their too expensive. I shop there. But not "a lot." I keep telling myself I need to stop because it does get expensive. I mean the guy clothes are so much cheaper than the girls and it's unfair. But they are the only store who has clothes that actually fit me the right way. The only bad thing about their clothes is that they stretch or their hoodies run really small. That's my opinion but I still like the store.

I personally like hollister better cuz they have more available sizes, more reasonable prices, and unlike abercrombie they have more of a variety of colors... but i wast for a sale usually... and LIMITED TOO can be nice i guess but if your looking for quality go to these stores.... i think they're popular because they're unique and have new styles... but im a mix of WET SEAL, ABERCROMBIE, HOLLISTER, AMERICAN EAGLE, and DELIA'S... i wouldnt consider myslef a prep.. just a person with good taste in cloths

Hollister is a lot cheaper than abercrombie..by ALOT! but for those who said they are unqiue are very wrong...abercrombie is a store where people get there clothes to be a clone to everybody else. Be individual and shop where its less expensive. =]!

i personally like hollister better. The only reason why they are more expensive than other stores is because they are a new fashion that a lot of preps wear.

I haven't actually heard from any of my friends that shop at HCo about the quality or prices. I do think Abercrombie is ridiculously over-priced. One pal I have that use to shop there had a really bad experience with their jeans. She bought them, wore them out that night, washed them the following day and noticed little frays and threads on the knees and mid-thigh area. (they weren't deconstructed type and she's a size 1, but gets the next size up so they aren't overly tight on her either). I jokingly pulled lightly and one of the threads and the jeans literally ripped up to the pocket seam. We took them back to the store, with the receipt, where we argued with the sales clerk for about 30 minutes before the begrudgingly took the jeans back, claiming that had never happened before and they must have received faulty denim. She wore the new pair and with in a few days the same thing happened, little frays and hole in the jeans. It's about a profit margin, they over price the cheapest quality, to make the most in revenue. They also don't offer much in the way in originality, mostly thin shirts, sweats/sweatshirts with their name plastered across it, deconstructed jeans, polos, etc. Hmm sounds like a few stores in the mall really! I just don't understand buying an $85 pair of jeans to have them fall literally to pieces within a week of wearing them!!

Note: To the person who says they are 'high-end material', umm no sorry to burst your youthful bubble but they aren't. High-end materials would be the materials used in high-end designer fashions, like Marc Jacobs, Ralph Lauren, Banana Republic, Lacoste, Versace, Gucci, Prada, Vera Wang, etc. You get my drift!

No, i think these stores have decent prices, but especially when they are having a sale!!Thy are so expensive b/c the material is very high end, and, of coarse, they are name brands!!My fave??Hollister for tops, and Abercrombie for bottoms!!!

The stores are WAY too expensive but they have a variety of sizes and are EXTREMELY CUTE... they also have very good material that is comfortable and cute. If you are wanting to shop there go to the clearance section where you can get the cute stuff for half the price =]
