i agree with mystic. People smoke ciggarettes around thier kids all the time. Nobody says anything to them because ciggarettes are legal. However, tobbacoo smoke is WAY more harmful to an infant than pot smoke. There are no harmful chemicals or anything. Its mostly just a smell. As for them being stoned with thier baby in the house its probably a lot better than having a beer while caring for the baby. There are people out there who do meth and smoke crack around thier babies. You could try and call child services on them but you will have to be prepared that nothing will come of it. Child services is a busy place where they are protecting children from abusers, molestors, and crackheads. I hardly think they will back you on this one. If you have that big of a problem with it- just dont go over there or be thier friends.

Call child services.
They can be arrested for this because they are putting their baby in a critical position. Babies are still developing so them smoking pot could stunt the growth of the child (mentally, physically, or both), cause the child to become addicted to pot from the fumes, give the baby cancer, and more... but if they're smoking while the baby's in the house, there is no doubt in my mind that they smoked while they were pregnant with the baby too.
Call now and save the child's life!
Read this wikipedia article about the Child Protectives Services and maybe it will help you: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Child_protective_services
P.S. I forgot to mention that most Child Services probably will take your call anonymously so the people won't know you reported them.

Smoking cigarettes around a baby can lead to S.I.D.S. (sudden infant death syndrome). I don't even want to know what smoking pot around a baby can do. I understand if these people are your friends, but if you want the best for their baby you should call child services. It's not really your place to say anything to the parents because it isn't your child. Anyone who would do such a thing should be ashamed of themselves. That's awful. I hope these answers help you figure out what to do.

That is horrible. Call child services. You could call the police as well, especially if you can catch them in the act. Also, document everything as evidence. Write down dates that you witnessed this, any pictures, whatever. Anything you know or have seen can help get that baby out of a dangerous situation. Good luck!

You need to tell them that what they are doing is wrong; it is not healthy for the baby, and even though the baby is young they are setting a bad habits for their child. If all else fails let the authorities know.

I don't drink or do drugs, but one thing you can do is explain to them that smoking pot is bad, tell them your going to test the pot for poisons, and take it home and you know what! OR, call the authorities!!!!

Tallk to them first and tell them to stop because a llt he smoke and chemical that they use can affect the baby's health.He/she can get asthma from all the smoke from it or the baby can die and if they won't listen to you call child service. It's safer for the baby sake.

I would try and talk to them , it is the cruelest thing they can do do to the baby .
If they do not listen i would report them to the social services , in my book it is an abuse and it needs to be dealt with .
