You don't haggle over a speeding fine once a ticket is issued. You can plead innocence in court and prove you have not committed the offence. However, you were caught in the act and there is no case for defence. In accordance with the legal process, you pay the full cost for an offence once you are guilty of it. You don't bargain or ask for a discount as if you are buying meat or vegetables at a wet market. That would be contempt. Even when you are broke you have to find ways and means to raise the full amount. A police station or a court will not accept anything less. It will not allow you to turn the place into a circus or a cheap sales carnival. There is a deadline for settling it.If you cannot pay the fine a court will sentence you to a prison term. Now you know. So pay up in full and on time.

They may have a bench warrant for your arrest, issued by the judge, but since it has been less then a year, it should be easily dismissed. You will need to go to the court house to pay the fine, and to find out if there was a bench warrant issued. If there is, sometimes you can get the judges court clerk to notify you of a court day to go in-front of the judge, then just let him know why you were alittle late, and show him the receit that you did pay the fine. (((PAY IN CASH OR CHECK FOR THE BEST RESULT))) Most of the times, the judge will listen and give you a lecture about it, but occasionally will have you do some community hours. But pay now, before it hits a year mark, or it gets worse.

When you first neglected to pay the court costs a warrant was most likely issued on you. You need to turn yourself in to the issuing agency. Then you don't have to worry about getting pulled on your way to work, and taken to jail. If a warrant was in-fact issued, you could pay the court costs in full, but this will not clear the warrant. I'm assuming this was due to a traffic violation. You will also be charged a small late fee, but if you appear before a judge they are generally lenient and will most likely get you to pay the original costs. Good Luck!

First of all, it sounds like you have mixed up some terminology. Court costs are what a plaintiff has to pay to file a lawsuit. They are also what a defendant needs to pay to file his/her appearance and answer.
Court costs are different from judgements and fines. Judgements are what a judge or jury can hand down against a defendant; fines are costs related to minor traffic violations to ordinance violations.
If you didn't pay your court cost, it sounds like you settled out of court. You should really check with the Clerk of the Circuit Court in which this action took place.
I have never seen anyone have a warrant out for their arrest if they didn't pay their court cost.

Well, if you just keep letting it ride sooner or later the judge will issue a warrant that you are in violation of the court order and your little butt will go to jail, pretty sure you won't pass go and pretty sure you won't collect $200. Anyway, get yourself to the court asap -grovel if you have to, beg and plead pay the fine and get on with your life. A judge is nobody to mess with.

When was the money due? If it is past due you most likely have a warrant out on you. You will need to go to court and speak to the judge then pay.

You will have no problem with paying it. A warrant will not go out for your arrest if is not a ticket. If it is just court cost it will mess your credit up and next time you file your taxes they will take it then. But it is better to pay it and not make them take it by force. BUT yes the IRS will take it when you file. (eventually)

They will get their money one way or the other. Either you pay it on your own or they can garnish any future wages, tax returns etc, also it will severely mess up your credit. Also you may go to jail.
