I am 49, and my wife is 44. We are facing a divorce, and it is my wife's choice. We have only been married 16 months. A lot has happened. We both messed up, and it just can't be fixed. So, I have found someone who is almost 20 yrs younger than me, and is a true child of God. We both are. Is age to be a barrier for someone we both have strong, and bonding feelings for??...We have alot in common, and we share more in common than my wife and I did. We also are 1700 miles apart. My feelings for this young woman is so so strong, that I feel we both need to be together. So was just wondering if age faces a dark spot with society??

Maybe not with society, but more with reality. Say you do end up married to her.....In twenty years you will be almost 70 and she'll be almost 50. Assuming you are both healthy and live normal life spans, you will leave her a widow right around the time she is ready to retire and enjoy life with her partner.
Also, you don't really know someone until you've spent time with them. Online is not that same as real life.
Finally, give yourself time to get over your divorce and figure out where the relationship went wrong. It's not good to jump from one wife to the next without looking had at yourself and your emotional health.

Hi age is nver a barrier for love.you said both of you are deeply hooked, but the fact is that you dont rush into relationship after a break with your wife.Take time to study the woman before you end up in a divorce again.Goodluck.

I don' think age is problem as long as you like each other. So don't care too much about society. At the end of the day, you need to enjoy life and society could not help you with that. It is up to you to decide for your future.

She is old enough to know what she wants from her life, and if you are in that scenario at least wait until the divorce.
I like a man who is ten yrs. younger than me. Just for the record we are both over 44.
