One of my good friends is a guy and this kid started spreading rumors that we were dating!! So now, me and my friend are the butt of the joke for everything. We don't like eachother like that! We both like different people but neither of us can make other people believe that. How can I stop the rumors?

the more it bothers you and your friend, the more people will have reasons to bug you both. this is how rumors work. if you give them the time of day, they will continue to go on and on. if you give them the silence treatment, they will eventually go away. the only people you should be concerned in believing you are the ones you guys are interested in. you should both invite them out and have a double date, that way they will get to see first hand that you guys are really best friends.
idiots will be idiots anytime of year, the silence treatment resolves everything. but you have to commit to being silent
if you give the rumor value, then you are making room for this to go on.

Theres always a trouble maker in every pack what you need to do is ignore the comments and when the people dont get the response they are looking for from you and your friend they will leave you alone for every action theres a reaction and that is what there going for dont let there immature behaviour get you down play along with it . It will go away.lol

There was something like that going around my school about this
MY bpyfriend heard
He got mad
He yelled at my friend
He later apoplogized after he realized the rumor was not true
He told me that he felt uncomfortable with me talking to him, but that I could make my own choice
I don't have the same relationship with my friend
I never will again
My advice:
tell people it isnt true in a way that will not affend your friend

ignore him, the only reason he did was to get some attention. he probably likes you and that's his way of showing it. you and your friend know the truth that's all that matters, don't let that rumor bother you. besides all rumors get old and come to an end.

Hunni. Just ignore them, It will fade away. Dont start another rumor about the kid who spread them about u. Then you'll be as low as him.

Don't get made and let them know this bothers you. Go on and when someone mentions just put a simple that's not true and let it go. Do not discuss and do not argue. If someone does want to keep on about it stay away from them. If they are your friends they would not be keeping on once you told them it's not true.

There really is no way to stop them, the people who make fun of you... that's there choice. Just ignore them! Most of the time when people make fun of someone they do it to make them mad, if you act like it's not even there, they'll get bored and eventually lay off.
