I've searched online everywhere so if you're going to post somehing from a site don't bother, all they discuss is the movie and it's not close enough to the book so please, if you personally know the bio of this character let me know! ^^

Well, there's this:

"The main character of the story, Jabez Stone, is a great stereotype of a God fearing and humble man who is down on his luck. Benet shows us how Jabez Stone is an upright man by telling us, “He wasn’t a bad man to start with, but he was an unlucky man. Jabez Stone is a perfect example of how many view a 19th century farmer as, barely getting by, respecting his life and being thankful no matter how little they had, but still wishing for more."
But, as a Yankee stereotype, he was also stubborn, suspicious of others, repressed and sparing of words.

Mr. Stone was a New Hampshireman who made a bargain with the Devil (sorry, can't recall the details; something about making his farm prosperous again after many misfortunes) and later retained Mr. Webster, the noted attorney, who got him off the hook. I didn't know they made a movie of it.

For what it's worth - and it is germane - Jabez means he will bring sorrow.

Just a character which would waiver depending on time and personal need.
