He spruced it up a bit with new digital effects and changed the ghost of Vader to the actor who played young Vader in epsodes 2 and 3.
Not really a remake as he did not start from scratch.

Lucasfilm digitally remastered and added scenes to the entire original trilogy, but he did not 'remake' any of them. He also trimmed some of the scenes to make them 'look nicer.'

No, he just keeps putting more crap in and ruining the just fine version of the film loved by the people who actually gave him his career.

Not that I've heard other than re-re-releasing it back to its original form.
