What's so bad about 35 Home Runs and 121 RBI's and a .290 average? What do you Yankee fans expect? 60 Home Runs, 150 RBI's and a .400 average?

I think A-Rod is an awesome player, though he cares way too much about how people think of him. I think the media is too critical about his play. That has to do with the fact that it's Derek Jeter's city. I think if A-Rod wasn't a former shortstop they would get off his back. I'm probably one of the only Yankee fan that supports A-Rod as well as Jeter!! :)

Well A-Rod is a highly productive player. Power, Speed, and before he moved to 3rd base a good glove. He did win a Gold Glove at SS. Most New Yorkers who don't like A-Rod are huge Jeter marks. I mean everbody loves Jeter but, let me ask you this if he played for lets say Atlanta would anybody care about a SS who hits .290-15-70 steals 22 bases and as at best an average glove. I mean besides that stupid jump play he runs on at least one grounder a game is he even average at short. Remember A-Rod switched to make the captain of the Yankees happy. Hey at least Jeter left Mariah before she flipped the switch.

A-Rod's a great baseball player, he just needs to shut the hell up. He's never going to do as great as he could in NY because he's got a big mouth and the fans boo him no matter what. He's dug his own grave by letting his words speak louder than his play.

During innings 1-7 in the regular season, he's probably in the top 10% of players in the league.
During innings 8 and 9, and any inning in the playoffs, he's in the bottom 10% of players in the league.

i hate all yankees. HOWEVER. as "bad" as he is, he's not bad at all.
he makes errors and whatever, but he's hit 35+ homeruns in 9 of his last 10 seasons. he's a lifetime 305 hitter.
again, i hate him, but i don't think "bad" is the word your looking for.
