UEFA is an association, the association of all the national federation of football in Europe... UEFA World Cup doesn't exist, it's the FIFA World Cup... The UEFA organise the Champion's League for example... The new president of the UEFA is Michel Platini, and the headquarters are not in Italy but in Switzerland, in Geneve... Italy is southern as Switzerland...

Nations pick the best players from the clubs, a sort of All Star Team, to play for the National Team. National Teams compete in Federations, generally organized by continents. Every 4 years the best nations compete in the World Cup.
