Oh well, it really depends on you. Personally, I truly found The Sound of Blue and the Virgin's Knot by Holly Payne as very beautiful and amazing pieces of literature.

Harry Potter is an awesome series, So is the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Eragon, and the Series of Unfortunate Events series. I also loved the book, The Lightning Theif, a fantasy book about kids of the Roman Gods and Goddesses. Oscar Wilde is cool, I loved The Importance Of Being Earnest, that is his best play.

Still the most readable and exciting book to read is The Da Vinci Code. It's terrific and everyone I know who has ever read it, from junior high school kids through adults have loved it. Sure, it has a controversial idea in it, but isn't that what makes it so terrific?

Short stories by Nathaniel Hawthorne. They're great!
"Rapuccinni's Daughter" (might have spelled that wrong) is a great story in there.
Good luck.
