Why is it that friendships taken for granted? Why are more friendships being destroyed?

Me and my best friend have been together since kindergarten and now I am in highschool. Some people think we shouldn't be friends. I don't get it!

I think in this day and age, we tend to value 'stuff' over people. Friendships have fallen by the wayside......best friends get into a fight and then hate each other. Where is the loyalty?

When I was a kid, we would get into it and not speak for a while but then we made up....because we were friends. I have learned something in my life......if it weren't for my friends, I wouldn't be here. They truly are more precious than gold.
