Does anyone have experience in using Saw Palmetto for hair growth in men?

Question

I have been reading on it and from what i understand it can stunt hair loss and sometimes replenish some hair that was lost in men. Loooking for options for my young, balding husband.

saw palmetto does effect how DHT is formed and to an extent how much may bind to the androgen receptor but there is a lot more to hair loss than that. for hair loss saw palmetto isn't going to have an effect.
