My mate NO, would I ever NO! However, my husbands best friends wife cheated on him, they split up for about 3 months and decided to work things out. It has been 4 yrs since then, and I think he forgave her to a degree, he must have they got back together. Every so often the thought bothers him all over again, and that alone stirs up the past. The trust is gone that's for sure. She has told me it was a huge mistake, and she regrets it. My thought is that she regrets getting caught.

Bottom line, I don't think you could ever truly forgive, and you never forget! Is that a way to live ?

The cheater could be forgiven but the pain is not forgotten. Your spouse isn't paying you enough attention, she has something that your girlfriend or wife doesn't have. You knew the person you became involved with didn't have certain attributes when you two first became involved so now all of a sudden there is a problem? My man doesn't pay me enough attention, well as a woman what are you doing to try to get his attention. If one thing doesn't work try something else. Be a little freaky. People find it easier to leave a relationship than to stay in the relationship.

I think that no matter how hard they try to forgive and try to forget what happened, it will taint everything else. The trust has been broken so things that normally wouldn't have caused you to blink an eye at will now become suspect. And at some point the cheater gets sick of being mistrusted.... that is when the relationship starts to crumble.

I do believe that some people would forgive there spouse for the affair aspect but then some would just tell the spouse it's over. To answer the question yes, but the trust issue lost for long, long, long time, you get my drift.

Sorry to say, once trust is lost...most marriages end. May not be today, or next week but the stress, resentment, anger, and dissapointment will chip away at your love until it is completely gone. Audutery is a nasty and vile act - it continues its damage like cancer...enventually the love dies.

I wouldn't find it easy to forgive myself for having no integrity, so I wouldn't expect anybody else to forgive me for being that flawed.
