NO question its Unitas, hes in the top 10 in passing yards of all time, even though when he played, it was almost impossible to pass. His numbers are incredible, espacially because the rules were against the passing game

Johnny Unitas skills revolutionized the passing game in the NFL. Without the likes of a Unitas there never would be a Peyton.

It has to be Unitas. I don't think NFL was born back then... With the COlts, I think Unitas won three uh.... football championships, and this guy is a legend. I guess Peyton could be better later, but for now, it is Unitas. The main thing the Colts were good at back then was their defense. So the COlts were like the let's see... It's hard to put it this way but they were like the Bears (With a worse offense). However, when Unitas came, the whole team started to fire up... However, Peyton did it whith many weapons so I guess Unitas.

I believe Peyton is the better quarterback. while his passing skills are only slightly bette than Unitas, his defense reading and audible calling are the best ever.
Defenses will tell you this is what makes playing him so tough.

You can't even compare 50s players to today's players. Peyton is so much better.
