What is the name of the town that Kikyo is from?

I was wandering what the name of the town that Kikyo is from was called? I used to know, but it's been so long since I've heard it that I've forgotten. Can someone please help me out.

It's either Kaede's Village or something else

I'm not sure what the name of village was called but i think they are in kyoto japan
