Its got around 17 gb of memory and all I have is around 2 or 3 gb worth of music on it but it's telling me I don't have any memory left. How do I find out what , if anything is using up the memory?

Hello stavarondo,

I think what it's telling you is that you're running out of RAM to play the music, not the hard drive space. Go up to the blue Apple logo at the top left of your screen and hit the "About This Mac" menu command.

You'll get a dialog box telling you what sort of memory you've got on your iBook. I think that the iBooks only could max out at 1 Gigabyte of RAM, but maybe I'm wrong.

If you haven't added extra RAM, You might want to consider spending some money next chance you get to add more RAM. It will increase your iBook's speed and efficiency. For now, maybe you can shut down some of your other programs while you're listening to music.

Best of luck to you.
