They are commonly referred to as "floaters". They are long chain proteins that grow in your eyes with time. The older you get the more you'll see them. Unless you see lots of them and most of the time they are an annoyance. If you think there are too many for you to be comfortable, see an eye doctor. The doc will check your eyes in ways you can't.

they're called floaters and flashers. everyone has them but they could also be a sign of retinal problems. basically what happens is part of your retina becomes detached and interferes with the part of your eye that detects light causing the floating spot in your line of vision. if you do have torn retinas, it is possible for your entire retina to detach and cause temporary blindness. if you have a lot of floaters and flashers, see your ophthalmologist. a completely detached retina can be dangerous. my mom worries it will happen while she is driving.

"floaters" i think, I believe that they have to do with a bright light like burning your retina or something, usually they go away after a little while and there is no problem, but if there is a large persistent number of them, you may need to see an ophthalmologist

I know exactly what your talking about. Ive found if you look around the wrong way they fall to one of the corners of your eye...lol. Anyways ive always thought of them as germs,or dust, or you know like things the air has caried around.
Like your ears collect wax from things that sworm in the open. Some things like to stick to your eye. daa....

Not sure what they are called, but I believe they are dead cells floating by the retina.
