Let's be honest Mrs.B, we all like to look clever.
Best to balance that with keeping quiet & listening when we meet someone cleverer than us. There's always someone & we're never too old to learn.

I like to look clever, but at the same time I hate for people to think that I might think i'm a know-it-all (which I'm not). So i'd have to say that I feel better when I learn something from someone else!

No-one likes a "smarty pants" but it does make you feel good when you look clever. However, the feeling can be short lived and you can very quickly be brought back down to earth again! It is almost always better to have an open mind and learn from other people - either by their experiences, knowledge or mistakes!

Learning something from someone else is always a good thing and there is an old saying about learning something new every day. That is a good thing.

I love to read and learn, wisdom is the greatest of all gifts. and sometimes that comes from others.
looking clever gives you a rush that you forget within a month, but wisdom stays with you, and thats a rush I love
