No, I enjoy my job! It is stressfull at times but very rewarding. Teaching isn't just my career it has become my identity (partially). I mean it is just as much a part of me as my family. And besides... Life is not worth living if we have regrets, we learn from our mistakes and become better people/teachers/partners... because of them.

Even when there have been conflicts with students or their parents, there is nothing that makes me regret being a teacher.
The things that make me feel like I am wasting my time have to do with issues between teachers and broader society, and conflicts with other staff (teachers and admin).

Teaching's been a total blast for me, so far.
*I certainly don't like everything teenagers, their parents, my colleagues, the administration does, but I guess that's why they call it a JOB and they compensate us with money (albeit darned little of it ...)
* I used to have other professions, but teaching really is where it's at for me. It comes from the heart, and after 20+ yrs. of it, I still can't wait to get to work in the morning.

The pay is small in India. I used to teach French but they pay so little and the value of knowing languages is like high!!

I've been teaching for more than 30 years and, although there have been times whenI haven't enjoyed my work, I don't regret any of it.

NEVER! Small pay checks and pain in the a $$ parents do not (and will not) squash my love for teaching.
