to save mankind with an overwhelming DEMOCRATIC LANDSLIDE VICTORY - would it be rude to petition him with a request that he has Congress pass a bill requiring that neo-cons must pass at least a basic spelling course?
I know he'll be busy helping everyone celebrate but I think this would be most beneficial to their future development.

what makes you think Jesus is democratic? I doubt he would support abortion, queers marrying and the removal of religion from daily lives.

If Jesus returned (which he won't because he is dead and dead people don't come back except in fairy tales - are you living in one?) why would he go to the USA? He'd probably be refused a visa and if he did get one Homeland Security would think he was a Middle Eastern Terrorist kick his face in then cart him off to Guantanamo Bay...
