sometimes i get 6.50 an hour if they give me a bonus- oh yeah.. their ages are 1.5, 3. and 6....ALL GIRLS

yeah u are getting ripped off...speciall with the 1 and 3 yr old since they consider a lot more work and attention. i would as for more. $ 5 an hour for the 5 and 6 yr old. but maybe 10 for the younger ones. all in all u deserve more $$$

min wage is higher than that.. but do you enjoy the time you spend with them and are they regulars..are you spending a lot of time there.. like 4 or 5 hours and are they easy to handle.. if they are little angels and you got nothing else to do then it may be just find.. if they are monsters than that is another story.. also how old are you.. are you able to go out a get a real job.. not that babysitting is not a real job it is but i mean a job that pays over time and takes out taxes.. but then again i am someone who never had to hire a babysitter nor was i one of them so maybe i dont really know what i am talking about.. well your off to a good start with all the other answers

Well, I think you should get at least $10 an hour, but it depends on what the going rate is for your area. Talk to the parents about raising your rates. They might not have more to pay, but that doesn't mean you aren't worth more. Maybe start advertising your business and finding new clients at $10 an hour.

I think so even for close friends that's alot to ask for. I worked for a babysitting company and I would get usually about $13 an hour for that many kids. And sometimes even that wasn't worth it!

Hi most ppl charge about $15 or so an hour, $5 per kid per hour if you must.
