If you don't know what the hell you're talking about, why not just keep your mouth shut instead of making a fool of yourself? If you're going to say something, make sure its actually true!
This is a response to my question/answer debunking the Churchill said "if you're a conservative at 25 you have no heart, a liberal at 35 you have no brain" lie.
"There is no such thing as a conservative or liberal party in England.... now or during WWII.
So your "fact" about Churchill is truly an "opinion" regarding his political leanings within the construct of the government he served."

The FACT is that there was and is a "Conservative Party" in England. That's the name of the party: the "CONSERVATIVE PARTY." There also used to be a "Liberal Party." These two parties dominated in 1930s England. The original "Liberal Party" has now become the "Liberal Democrat" party.

I totally agree with you.
Sometimes the uneducated are just running their mouth without any brain activity going on. I have seen referrals to websites and read where the info came from was K Street in Washington DC. There is more lobbying going on there than there is gambling in Las Vegas.

I heard that line from an actor on a talk show probably 10 years ago. Never heard it attributed to any politician.
Anyway, you have to understand, many here are not debating facts, they are trolls just trying to chant the "Bush is the Devil" mantra and trying to inflame people.
I do the best I can to debate a topic based on my opinion of the facts.

Capitalism has excelled at making the populace fat, dumb, and happy. I n turn this has made people complacent and unwilling to put themselves out. Most people are less concerned about if they "can" make a difference and are more concerned about actually pitting in any effort.
Gosh,, I am so glad that I am not really pessimistic.

what can i say? maybe their brains are broken. probably they want to say something on the matter but are just too lazy to go look up some stats or something and make a legit argument.
Just remember that its easy to be dumb and piss people off, but its hard to stay smart and not get excited about every fool.

People are clueless about politics because they see it as boring. they do not realize politcs run their pathetic lives. Another reason is that people get fed the wrong information from the TV news and corporate America. That is some reason people are clueless, is not much as being clueless but as wanting to being clueless.
