Belarc will tell you the motherboard. http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html

You probably have an AGP graphics card and do not have an AGP slot. You can use a PCI card also. It would go in a white slot if there is 1 empty.

Here are some to look at.--> http://www.globalcomputer.com/applications/category/category_slc.asp?CatId=319&

Ok, so you have a graphics card, but there is no slot for it on the board?

And you are saying that you see what looks like a spot for the card, but there is no slot there?

Most likely the system has onboard video. Check on the back panel of the motherboard where you plug in the Mouse, Keyboard and other stuff, and see if you find a monitor plug.

If it does not have one, you will need to figure out what model computer you have, or preferably what model motherboard the computer has and tell us.
