Life is all about learning. Mostly we learn about relationships, but there is a ton of stuff here to learn. We come here with some specific things in mind - like you might plan a vacation and the sites you want to see or an education and the classes you want to attend - and we set out to learn and explore the subjects with other (many of whom we have worked with before in previous incarnations.)
When we die we return home and we probably rest a bit and then makes plans for the next go round until we don't feel like doing it any more - then we move onto something else.
