You will think you are a coward and a weanie if you squirrel out. No matter how poorly you do that day in gym, you will a better man if you don't squirrel out of it. Be true to yourself. Just do your best. I promise you, you will do better than you think. Been there/done that. You WON'T feel good about yourself if you weanie out and not go. Be true to YOURSELF and stop caring about what everyone thinks about you. (But, if you need a good excuse . . .I'm a nurse . . .just say these words "impetigo" (im - peh - tie - go) and scrotum". : )

In my school, you need a parent note or doctor's excuse to get out of Gym. The only other way you can get out is if you are seriously in pain (bleeding, fainted, broken bone, etc). Maybe you can pretend you have a broken finger? lol

But don't worry, if you still have to participate, just remember that it'll soon be over! Even if you embarrass yourself, no one will remember the next day. Plus, it looks better if you try than just sitting on the sidelines!

Good luck!

To be a sport you have to be one. What will you gain if you don't face up to your fears. You'll always be a wimp. Go to your gym class and and give it your best shot. Don't expect to be a winner every time you compete. On the other hand, if you skip gym, you'll sure be the loser.
Just be a sport! Good Luck.

Since when should you care what people think? Well, I guess it depends on how old you are. I don't think you should sit this one out, but rather actually try it for a chance. Maybe you will win! Who knows? Well, other than that I don't encourage skipping classes. Goodluck.

Don't be so in confident of yourself and your abilities. This will be a good opportunity for you. And so what, it you aren't perfect. No one is and the other participants may feel some apprehension too. Good luck!

Don't get out of it. If anybody finds out that you wimped out because you were scared, you'd be made fun of like 5 times more than if you just did it.
