how can i stop my self from playing videogames and do my homework!?

You've gotta discipline yourself. Try quitting video games cold turkey. Have your parents lock your system(s) in a safe until the weekend.

Go home after school and eat something for lunch. Then just go straight to your room and do your homework. You have nothing to gain by playing video games and everything to lose by not doing your homework. Shut the door so it's nice and quiet. Take a break after about maybe thirty or fourty minutes, but then go back to your homework. That way, it'll all be done quick and out of the way so you can go out with friends or whatever. It's better to just get it over with it than to spend hours taking breaks and coming back to it, and so on. How else would I be able to get straight A's? You can do it, too. Don't waste your time on video games!

What I do is: I have my best friend take 'em away from me during the week and give them back to me on the weekend. That way it doesn't distract me.

If that doesn't work think of this: if you don't do your homework you'll fail and you won't graduate and you won't go to a college and you'll be a big fat looser in life and stand around holding a stop sign where constructions occur because no one is going to accept a lazy butt like that to have a better job!!!!!!!!!!

Can't you do your homework the day it's due? It's easy....if it's due 3rd period, do it during homeroom and second period. If it's due 8th period...you have all lunch to do it!

Plus, you'll inevitably get yourself in situations where you'll have to make up excuses and/or lie to a teacher, and this type of on-your-feet thinking is far more valuable than knowing what Messenger-RNA is.

For self discipline purposes, you must practice a new mindset, and tell yourself that the video games are your reward AFTER your responsibilities are finished. When you have completed your responsibilities, you may then reward yourself with enjoyable activities. This will build character.

I have the same problem im on the computer 24/7......well if you dont do homework your grades will go down and the your parnets will get REALLY mad.(happened to me) beacse my grades went down.....they took my computer away...... T-T well.i suggest if you still want to play your video games do your homework.I make a schedule.I get home..get a snack DO MY HOMEWORK!! then get on the computer..Then im happy and so are my parents.....i suggest you do the same!! hope i helped!!! ^-^

get rid of them, then, once you develope a regular habit fo doing your hw at a consistent time, every day, whether you have something due the next day or not (you can always find work if you look hard enough). then bring video games back into your life.

once you get into the habit of doing something, you will begin to enjoy it and start to do feel bad when you don't do it.

Go in a different room where there are no distractions, or unplug the console and put them away somewhere. That will always work the best if the distraction isn't there.
