well, you can make it be about giant squids who are endangered or unicorns or fairies who have to help a dragon rescue a princess from a cave that closed from an earthquake or something.

There must be mythical creatures. Powerful artifects. Magic. Enchanted Locations.
Romance. Involving a young Queen, instead of a Princess to avoid cliches. She's Queen to an evil King but finds herself more and more attracted to the King's advisor- the dashing but cold Necromancer. She'll draw out the warmth from him and melt his frozen heart.
