Yes and yes. People always want government funding for their neighborhood, but when the census workers come gathering data for such funding, no one wants to answer the questions. They think they're being spied on. And then there are the census workers that have to take a sampling of the field interviewers and call them back just to make sure the person actually existed and really spoke to the field interviewer. Imagine that job.

I did it one summer many years ago...door to door asking people the census questions. It didn't pay worth a hoot and it was hard work to do it...

I imagine it is hard work.
