1949-dated Lincoln bronze cents are common and are being sold for as little as $0.05 in average circulated grades. Even in nice uncirculated they're only about $1. The 1949 cent minted in Philadelphia(no small alphabet under the date) has a mintage of 217,775,000.

Even though to most, 1949 was a long time ago, in the coin world it is not.The economy was picking up after WW II so a lot were struck. Someone here gave you the mintage figure. In circulated grades it is worth 02-05 cents and can be found in coin dealers wheat cents bins. In mint state it has a value of .70 in middle mint state to $5 in high mint state. The prices in mint state are close to what a dealer would pay. Now that is if we are taking about a Lincoln cent. There were a lot of copper coins minted in 1949, made of copper, but minted by other countries.
