Hello everyone. I have a close guy friend that I would love to go to my senior prom with. The problem is that 1) I'm a little old-fashioned, and 2) I recently went with him to Sadie Hawkins and don't want him to feel pressured to go with me in case he has someone else in mind. So my question is should I ask him and if so when is it appropriate to do so? As I mentioned, Sadies was recently and we had an awesome time, so I don't want to appear desparate. Any advice is welcomed. Thanks!

Young sister i must say this....I am an old grandma and from my vast experience, nothing works like the truth. I dare say if he read what you wrote, you 2 being such good friends, he would feel like you two could talk openly. If it is meant to be, little one, it will. Open and honest is always the best choice. Have fun at the ball, no matter who you are with, Soon there won't be any proms,,, :) GM

I would definitely ask him, especially if you guys had a great time at Sadie Hawkins! Maybe wait a week or two, though, for things to settle down a little. And let him know he's not pressured into anything, but at the same time let him realize that you really respect him and everything =).

Sometimes it's best to just be honest and straight to the point. Maybe you could just tell him you don't want him to feel that he has to say yes but since you both had a good time when you went out previously you thought it'd be fun to go to prom together, you know, if he's not doing anything and all lol. Just be light-hearted and casual about it
I don't think he'll consider it desperate, he might be waiting for you to bring up the subject for all you know!

If you had a good time with him there, wouldn't it just be natural to ask him out?
Take a chance, ask if he has anyone else in mind, and tell him that you really hope to go with him, since you had such a good time with it before.
And if you're old fasioned it shouldn't matter. He should like you no matter what style you have, and mabye even love you for it.
If he says no, it's not going to be the end of the world, you still have time to find somone else to go with. Or just go with a few close friends, or don't even go at all.
But if you don't go. Treat you'reself to a night of 'me time' and injoy you'reself. You don't have to go to the prom to injoy you'reself!

Just do it,
it takes time,
shopping for dress
hooking up w/limo's
etc. If he says no, you
still have time to look around.
Tell him what you said here,
about not feeling pressured
if he wants to ask someone else.

tell him you really had a great time at Sadie's and you was wondering if he would like to go with you to prom. anytime is appropiate.

if u want to ask him then go right ahead but try to ask him if he is going to th prom w/ any one else if he is then he is taken but if is not then u got ur chance to ask him and be cool about it if u are u don't seem too despertate well good luck

haha boob tape doesnt artwork question me how i kno lol dont use it.. get confty footwear. and in the adventure that your donning a srapless gown, get a bra they have this on the iciness, its a bra that atachess on your gown, its works I truly have extensive boobs and it labored for me haha sturdy success =]
