I have had low blood sugar for the past couple years and thought (and maybe is) due to genetics. But now i realize... I think that ever since I went on birth control, I have trouble controlling my blood sugar. I was on the patch for 2.5 years and now i am switching to a pill. During my period, when I am not intaking hormones, I don't have much trouble with my blood sugar. Is there a connection? and does anyone know of a certain type of birth control that has the least side effects for hypoglycemia? (this is not exactly diabetes)

Wow - I've never heard of that. I think I'm hypoglycemic (every doctor I've ever talked to about it either says there's no such thing or they say there's no way to diagnose it - I don't believe either - so I don't really know if I have it or not). I've noticed it since I was in college, which was around the same time I went on the pill. I went off the pill last July (my husband and I are trying to get pregnant) and I've recently noticed that I don't have as many symptoms of hypoglycemia as I used to. I just figured I was getting used to it! Maybe you're right and my symptoms were due to (or made worse by) the birth control. That gives me more to think about for when I'm done having kids and go back on birth control (I have to take something - I have PCOS so I don't get regular periods).

I just read an article in Diabetic Living about that. You are not the only one experiencing this problem! In fact, most of the common types of birth control can cause fluctuation in blood sugars, whether you are diabetic or not.

It seems like there are no reliable birth control methods that don't have major side effects. We are using the natural family planning method, but you have to collect info all throughout the month and use condoms and or abstinence during your most fertile/desiring sex time of the month. It sucks in ways, but it is better than the hypoglycemia and hormonal side effects to me. Also, we want a few more kids but not a ton so it's not a good choice if you really want to not get pregnant. It has a 25% failure rate.

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. For me, the worst part of this horrible disease is the severe pain I constantly get in my feet. The pain is so bad that I avoid standing and walking as much as possible. I've got to tell you that within the first month, my feet stopped hurting altogether and I can now walk totally pain free.

Believe it or not, I even danced at my niece's wedding last month, something I have not done in a many years. I've been following the book for six months now and my blood sugar is well within normal range. I feel great!

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.
