Was the battery changed around the same time that the fob stopped working or was it taken out of the key fob at any point. If this is the case then it may have 'lost' the code that allows it to unlock the doors and reset the alarm etc. Your cars manual may give you the procedure to reset this but you may have to phone the manufacturer of the car or the garage that you bought it from to obtain the code to use.

Where do you want to start? Check batteries, both Tx and Rx, are fully charged. Check no wires are broken. Check crystal is fully inserted in its holder on the Rx. Try a new crystal, the old one could be cracked and you will not be able see it. That's a start.

My brother had the same problem with his Si Civic. The battery was ok so he took it in to the dealership and the problem was to get it reprogrammed...look in your manual to see if you can reprogram it yourself, if not, take it to a dealership.

take it back to the broking you will have a undesirable administration unit for it,if so that they'd attempt it and replace it,in case you mess with it and mess it up they wont replace it,that's what the guarantee is for on that one, stable success.
