I'm so sorry for your loss of your bunny. We also have lost too many family members over the years, and we know how sad and difficult is loss and grief - sorry for you. How old was your bunn? Such a sudden death like this can often be caused by heart problems or cerebral attacks - we lost our first bunny, Sweetnin, to a sudden, severe stroke. If there were no other symptoms, such as loss of appetite or a change in your bunn's droppings (diarrhea or sudden constipation showing in very small/dry/no droppings) then I'd say it was your bunn's heart/cerebral attack. In which case there was no way you could predict or have done anything different, so please don't feel this way - the important thing is that your bunn's life was full of happiness, thanks to you.

It could have been a heart attack. Rabbits are very sensitive animals. If there was a loud noise or anything that could have scared him that might be the reason. I've had it happen to me too. Sorry for ur loss.

It could have been just about anything. Rabbits can have the same kind of medical conditions as humans including seizures, cancer, and kidney failure. Without an autopsy, there just isn't any way of knowing for sure.

Very sorry that your bunny died. I used to have one too.

It could have possibly had a heartattack. Sudden fear can cause it to have one.
