Cat or dog?

Question

All my life I have wondered whether a cat or a dog was the better species or pet.

Give me your opinion and oh ya if you have another pet that you like over cats and dogs then feel free to share it.

a cat or dog can be a wonderful pet.it really depends on you.a dog needs to be walked and for you to play with them.also they usually ned much more grooming than a cat such as bathing and brushing and flea powders etc.,also if you live in the north like i do sometimes you must bring your dog in the house for its health and well being and someone has to be there to let them outside to go bathroom.they are great companions and show love to their owners and family and are protective .cats can be playful also and have the instinct to claw and scratch and sharpen their nails,if you want an inside cat have it declawed but dont do this to an outside cat.they need their claws for protection and to catch and kill mice and other animals.cats clean themselves and can be litter box trained but you will have to keep that cleaned out and fresh.so it depends in what you want from a pet and how much time and effort you are willing to spend taking care of them.good luck.

I have 3 dogs and 1 cat. I say for sure dogs are wayy better then cats. Because dogs are always happy to see you when you come home from a long day. When your crying they care and come over to try and comfort you. And there are soo many more things you can to with dogs.
Cats only pay attention to you when they run out of food. All they want to do all day is sleep. And when your crying all they do is leave the room. (well this is my cat anyway) And at night all they do is want to kill you. (my cat stalks me and bites me all the time)
so as u can tell, in my opinion dogs rule, and cats drool. ;D

I have two cats right now because my building does not allow dogs. Back when I was young I had a Dog and they are way more fun. Way more work as well.

I knew I loved dogs when one night my dog heard a noise coming from outside our front dooor and ran to the door and he laid down right up anext too the door so that someone who wanted to get in would have to push him out the way.

But I must say that whenever I had a bad day my cat seems to know and comes and sits right next to me and pretty much stays right next to me until I feel bettr then he goes off to play with the other cat.

I love em both.

I prefer cats because I find them easier to take care of. They can be indoor/outdoor, they will use a litterbox or bury their poop outside unlike a dog, whose mess you may have to pick up depending upon the town/city ordinances. I am thinking of eventually getting a Turkish Van cat because they are not afraid of water so flea/tick baths are no problem for them.

if you want a pet that will play and stuff get a dog their mostly playful and a cat plays too but they usually sleep all the time.my opinion would be get the dog just train it well.

that's already been stated. My cat hated all different animals, then she had to head in to my ex-girlfriends residing house and he or she has a small dogs. the two had some animosity, yet they dangle out mutually now and genuinely get alongside.

I would say a dog....Because its like a person bestfriends,well cat are cool too..They love to be around you too...But I still think dogs are better...

Both. They are wonderful companions and very loving. Although the cats can be pretty aloof..they are still a great pet.

definetly a dog!!!They are so much more fun to play with, obediant, loyal, and everything else. cats just sit there and ask for food and water then they run away. . .

The are both the better species. We could learn alot about love from them. They are both easy to live with.
