Depends on what type it is. SSDI disability or SSI supplemental security income. Call SSA and they will be happy to tell you. They will even offer you training for a better job and pay for it.

You can make as much as you want. But if you go over about 13,000 you will not get all of your social security until you are 65. Once you reach 65 you will get 100% of your social security no matter how much you make.

I assume you know you can start SS at 62 years old.

Because this is usually a percentage of what you make gross per year (vs just take home pay)--check with your local revenue tax or income tax dept.

If your getting it at 62..you can work anything you want.
