I don't believe so.

Most people attempt to use the words that they think will best convey the message that they are attempting to send.

If that message can be conveyed better by using certain linguistic constructs which are outside the normal conversational tone, so be it.

I'm not totally sure what ya mean? Like ebonics, slang or computer terminology? I actually think ebonics has something to do with norm, they don't want to be told what to do when. Why should we all talk the same, Because the government says so? I think certain areas all have there own slangs, just like if you hang with your friends, you all have terms that you would use that would appear awkward to some other group of people. Its all just communication and how you want to do it, be it slang, sign language, etc... is that what u were after?

Artistic and creative people are often the victims of bipolar disorder marked by unimaginable highs and lows that the rest of us are unable to even imagine. That's not to say that everyone who is bipolar is also creative or artistic, but the incidence of the disease if much higher in people of that temperament.

Treatment is available but sometimes at the cost of that creativity. Don't feel put down by them. Either learn to tolerate them or try to convince them to seek help if you're referring to someone in your life. Good luck.
