Now the chancellor of the exchequer has said he intends raising the road tax of certain vehicles to £400, including for some strange reason vehicles such as my Landrover Discovery 300tdi, how should the drivers of other vehicles, some of which I believe pay no road tax, show their gratitude to us payers of the higher tax for subsidising them? After all, we pay more tax on fuel, as supposedly we use more of it, and we now in effect, pay their road tax for them! No more complaints about 'gas guzzlers' (what a stupid phrase that is) please, remember they pay for you!

Just thought I would say Hello as no one has answered your question yet.
I drive a silver Vauxhall Vivaro with a big British flag and an EU flag on the back feel free to wave and beep your horn next time you over take me and I will flash my lights to let you in.
That is as much homage as I will give to you having to pay more tax than me.
Good luck and enjoy driving in your Gas Guzzler!

i wouldn't count on any thanks people have jumped on the anti 4x4 bandwagon try hitting them with these facts. 1 run a tape measure round the circumference you'll find its smaller than most family saloons, 2 due to extra seating you only need one car instead of two, 3 land rovers last 3 times longer than other cars so lees toxic over a lifetime as not as many have to be built , 4 its British so keeps the manufacturing process out of china which has the highest carbon emissions
