okay, so I'm at a sort of retreat with mom, her friend, and her daughter. I'm on my laptop. My mom's friend's daughter just asked me "what's it like to be skinny?" Now, she has pretty low self esteem, but I would by no means call her fat. She may not be a model, but shes not fat, exactly. I may be a little smaller than her, but I wouldn't call myself a model, either. anyways, PLEASE HELP!? I don't know what to tell her...

I would tell her you don't know how it feels to be skinny, why was she asking. I would also go on to say that what ever size a person is doesn't make the person, whats inside is what counts. Looks are only skin deep. If she feels being skinny would be the answer to all her problems, she's wrong. It shows she very insecure about herself, and she needs to love herself the way she is. Accepting herself for today is very important in life.

Tell her that she's beautiful. There'sno absolute limit to being fat or skinny. People's body are not the same that's all. But as an inside joke u kan say that if she kan still c her feet then she's not fat

Tell her she already is- it will boost her self esteem. If she is a little overweight and u don't wanna lie 2 her, tell her that it's better 2 look normal than skinny (take it as anorexic skinny and tell her she'd never wanna look like that).
Good Luck!!!

Tell her that being skinny doesn't mean you're better than anyone else or prettier. No one pays more attention to you because you are skinny. Being skinny isn't like anything. Event the skinn gets made fun of.

Just give her emotional support. Reassure her that she looks good and tell her often she looks good. I know what she feels like and it does help if you have someone to tell you look nice today or you did a good job on something you did fashion wise. hope this helps some

Sometimes girls call themselves fat or ugly for reassurance.... They'll hint that they feel overweight and expect you to say something like, "Oh, you're just fine the way you are!"
