No...it has been eaten away...blame Tony Blair - for allowing undesirables into the country, for letting the country turn into the worlds dustbin, and for having the worst and most scary kids in Europe.

What is "culture"? As far as I know, it's the overall picture you get when you put together a nation's food, language, literature, music, values and generally accepted rules of behaviour, landscapes, pastimes, and everything else that makes it different from the others. Every nation has a culture.
Britain is a bit different as it's 3 countries in one, which have their own cultures. I don't know anything about Scotland and Wales, so I'll just talk about England. Of course we have a culture. OK, some people might not find that culture very appealing or interesting, but maybe that's because it's always right in front of them and familiarity breeds contempt.
For Sam ... (and because I think it's worth adding anyway) ...
Diversity has *always* been part of Britain's (and England's) culture ... that is just a fact, whether people like it or not. Right back to the Romans. Who were the English, round about 1400 years ago? Immigrants, invaders from Northern Germany, that's who we were. And that's a fact.
I think there are two things that are really outstanding about English culture ... first, the English language. It is absolutely unique among the world's languages, because it has absorbed the grammar and words of three completely different languages - Anglo-Saxon, Latin and French - and made them into something so flexible and powerful that everyone wants to have a piece of it. That's diversity in action.
Second, the fact that we have so many people here from all over the world ... and that is nothing new either, it has always been that way. How many English people can truly claim to have had no foreign ancestor during, say, the last 300 years? Very, very few. And Winston Churchill was not one of them ... I should know because he was my 4th cousin. And I am Anglo-Italian, and proud of it. Diversity has helped to make Britain great, and that too is a fact.

Britain had all the culture in the world with the royal family, (the fish n chips), Hp sauce, soooooo many British things, but unfortunatly all has been lost in time and the country has been overun with assylum seekers and relgious FREAKS! I hate no one, but what was once a civilised peaceful country now stands as a multi cultured MESS. It will only get worse as there is no going back, too late for that. Just let this be a lesson to other countries and their governments. Every culture should stay true to their motherland and the world would be a peaceful place because as much as people wont admit it, different cultures and religions DO NOT MIX.

Things like holding doors open for people, not spitting on the floor or making horrible throat sounds when people are eating. Thanking people . Being polite in general. Dedication and quality of work . The love we give our families. The way we care for our surroundings. There are a million and one things that you would notice if you did leave the UK and live in an Asian country.

They did have, but they lost it somewhere in the 80's and 90's.
Poor Shakespeare, Donne and the rest wouldn't know their own country. Yes, the English have always been crude and rude (read Shakespeare and the Earl of Rochester if you don't believe me, nothing's changed on that score) but there was a lot more wholesome stuff to balance it out before.

Oodles of it, but it's not monolithic.
(Though we have some nice monoliths)
Fish and Chips to Chicken Tikka Masala.
Stonehenge to the Ministry of Sound.
Morris dancing and cricket on the green by the village pub.
The (ex) Colliery Brass Band.
The Stately Homes of England
(Less stately than before...? Noel Coward)
Lots of cultures, and culture, but not just one.
What does Trooping the Colour have to do with Kiss Me Quick hats at Blackpool?
Apart from them both being quintessentially British?
