***I JUST READ SOME OF THESE REPLIES... WOOO THESE SOME IGGNAT HEFFAS!!!! - SCREW THEM MOMMY!***
Dont worry about it. i was 222 when i got pregnant and now am 216 at 24 weeks (back up from 198 at 10 weeks).
Sometimes us 'thickities' do tend to loose weight and gain baby! this can actually be healthy for you and the baby as long as you are still eating and getting the nutriants you need. My doctor actually is glad to see some of my weight go down. Less stress on my heart and less stress on my baby girl.
She is able to feed off of what i eat longer because i do have more of a 'supply'. (i like to think of it as a positive tapeworm. lol)
I dont look like i am 6 months pregnant either. It was because i looked like this from the jump, and as i shrink, she grows. we are balancing out. I say in another few weeks or so she will be polking out of the box. you will too! dont worry. i know we all want that "glowing look" but it will come. dont worry! give it another few weeks (or wear a shirt that may have been a little snug. im sure you are rounding out ;) )
When i do my nekkid mirror dance (ok i have some issues. lol), i can see where she is because i am rounder in the belly. but when i put my clothes on, i still fill them out a little like i was before.
Go ahead and do a nekkid mirror dance and you may be able to see the same thing too. lol (ok just look at your belly in the mirror byh lifting up your shirt some. lol you dont have to take it to my 'special extreams'. lol )
CONGRATS ON YOUR PREGNANCY!!!
*** and i almost forgot, it depends on where your baby is latched. Mine is attached to the back of my uterus, so she is taking her sweet time coming up front and letting it be known she will be here in 15 weeks or so. ***

Your weight might be a factor in whether you are showing. A thick layer of adipose tissue (fat) can hide what would normally show. Lots of other things affect how much you show though. Your first pregnancy won't show as early as consecutive pregnancies or a pregnancy of multiples. This is because those muscles in your abdominal wall and your uterus haven't ever stretched to this degree before. Also your overall body build will influence how much "baby bump" you will have. I would try not to worry much about how your pregnancy looks from the outside as it is a very poor indicator of health. I assume your concern comes from whether your baby is healthy or not, and your doctor should be the one to assure you that baby is developing normally.

I was at the Dr.'s just yesterday and I was talking to a very thin woman who said she was 5 months pregant, and I couldn't tell! So, it's not just you, some people just show later than others. Congrats again on losing the weight. You'll show eventually, everyone does!

more likely the excess weight in front is causing you not to show. you may eventually show later on but there is the chance you won't.
my grandmother was overweight when she was pregnant with my dad. at the time the doctors kept telling her she wasn't becuz she had never gained weight(she was losing) and didn't look like it at all. plus she could never feel him move. by the 8th month she put a dress on and it just didn't fit. she knew for sure she was by then without the doctors telling her.

Congratulations on the pregnancy and on the weight loss! It makes sense to me, you lost fat and you gained in baby development, so maybe the space left from losing fat was filled by the baby's space that's why you don't show. Also maybe your overall body shape is proportional that your belly doesn't show as pregnant. But you must be feeling good about yourself at this point! don't worry, if you keep on losing fat and having baby grow, you will show. And by the time that the baby is born you would probably be a sexy-mama. Good luck with everything.

I lost weight when i got pregnant too, i didn't really start to show until i was about 6 months pregnant. People carry their babies in different ways, so it is commen not to show until 6 months or so.

Because of your weight you are not going to have a little belly right in the front like some preggos you see, your belly is already big and may not have a defined bump until the last months.

Yeah, it probably is the reason, but hey, who wants to look 5 months pregnant if you can avoid it? You'll show soon enough.
And maybe it's a small baby. Congrats to you!
