I personally like squirrels...but out of cats and dogs I would choose cats. Dogs are kinda stupid and they poop everywhere. They are very dependent on humans for food and love and attention and stuff. Cats are smarter then dogs. They poop in a litterbox, they know how to hunt without being trained. I had a cat who figured out how to open the sliding glass door at the back of my house. That same cat could do backflips!

Dogs Cats are stuck up & sometimes mean. Dogs return your love & even come to you when you are upset I've had both!

I'd say cats because cats don't need you to constantly let them outside, they just use a litter box and you empty it once a day. Also, cats (if they live inside only) don't drag in mud or smell like wet animal fur! I like cats better even though I've never had one because they don't constantly need you to work your butt off for them! Cats like to be left alone sometimes, just like people!
