well I am a boy, but I can tell you that no teen in his house, boy or girl gets any money on a weekly payment. we get a little here and a little there for odd jobs. other than that we get nothing.

When I was 15 I got paid according to how well my grades were in school. If I had straight A's I would get $15 a week, and every grade lower would have a system like this.
Bs would be -$2 each
Cs would be -$3 each
Ds would be -$4 each
and so on.
Also some high schools have grades above A, my high school has Hs, which is an A in an honors class. If i got an H i would get one dollar added to my allowence.
I hope this makes sense i know it must be a little confusing.
It helped me keep my grades up and it also was a reasonable amount of money, not too much of a strain on the wallet.

I didn't need money when I was 14-15 yrs old. When I did go somewhere with a friend my parents would give me what I needed. But I also babysat in the summer and saved up. When I turned 16 I had a job and then at 17 I was working 2 jobs until I was out of college.

Well i have a 14 year-old girl and 15 year-old twin girls. They each get lunch money seperate from a allowence. They get $10 dollers a week but have no assigned chores. If i see them clean there room or make there bed or do the dishes or put the garbage out, etc. there next week money gets a bonus like maybe its $15 or $20 instead depending on the amount. This teaches them to work for money and in a way respect. When they are 16, I am making them get a job and support themselves with there toys but not food and clothes. I suggest you try this out.

A 14-15 year old is perfectly capable of working part-time i.e. paper round etc. All of my kids have taken on part-time work at 14 and all thank me for encouraging them to do so. It gives them a bit independance and helps them realise the value of money. Kids expect far too much from parents these days and if parents refuse this often results in lack of respect.

I'm 14 and I do alot of chores. I help with the laundry, some of the meals, preparation of meals, and I try to do everything I can plus hw so there is less stress for my parents. I get 10 bucks a week. It really depends what you do at your house. My friends little sister is 10 and she gets 5 bucks a week and my friend is 14 and she gets 20 bucks a week. Everyone's different.

What is a 14/15 year old girl doing to get money? I know that in the state I live in, you have to be 16 to get a job, but if you are talking about baby-sitting, then it depends. It depends on how many hours and how many kids the person is baby-sitting. Are you asking maybe about allowance? I know that my sisters (who are around that age) do not get allowance because of the fact that they can babysit...

I'm fifteen, and I get $25 a fortnight, but it's only for school lunches ($5 a day, five days a week) so really I don't get anything! My mum pays for clothes and things usually, and the neccesities like tampons, but I pay for most other things I need or want. So if I want a magazine, I have to go without lunch for one or two days to pay for it! And if I want something expensive, I have to go without lunch for a week or even two.
Fortunately, I also get money for my birthday (about $50 usually), so I can save it for when I need extra money.
I also babysit now and then, and I'm planning to get a job soon.
EDIT: Before I started buying lunch at school, I was given about $5 or $10 a week, depending, but usually $10.

If you are talking amount allowance just to have extra spending money I would say $20.00 a week would be good...I have four daughters whom are not that age yet but I think that should be enough for movie money or what ever you choose to do on the weekend...clothing make up ect.....should be the responsibility of your parents....

we have a 25 year old and we dont give her any pocket money as such but we do pay for her to go to preforming arts classes and when she can be bothered to help round the house we allow her some by for when she asks for something (from new clothes to a fiver to go cinema etc)
We are teaching her money doesnt come for nothing but if she is prepared to help round the house a set amount is put away for when she wants it but if she doesnt help then she dont get no money in the pot, the pot is hers to spend whenever she wants but rarely does it get any money in it, if she were to help we would only be giving her 5pound a week, plus 10 pound a month lump as clothing allowance. Children need to learn they need to earn money and we also bear in mind she is plenty old enough to get a paper round so no we dont over indulge and i would say we have a pretty grateful daughter out of it as well who no doubt will go onto college and make something of her life as she has been rewarded for her hard work.
