I've heard all this talk about Kevin Durante and he is really good and tops most other freshman but do you really think he is the best.

Kevin Durant all the way. Hook 'Em Horns.
Anthony only led his team to victory because he had better teammate than who Kevin has. And Fyi Kevin's stats are better.
Anthony averaged 22.1 points a game and 10 rebounds.
Kevin leads the Big 12 in scoring and rebounding. In the Big 12 he avg. 33.7 points per game and 13.4 rebounds. Overall he averages 25.1 points per game and 11.4 rebounds.

Yes, at least in my lifetime. I've been on this Earth for 57 years and been watching and a fan of basketball. I saw Michael Jordan as a Freshman. I've seen lots of great Freshmen players, but in all of my 57 years, I have never seen a better one than Kevin Durant.

First, it is Jimmy Durante and Kevin Durant. No, he is not the best freshman ever. Carmello won a championship, that makes him better.

He is the best this year, but I dont know about him being the best ever. Here are some I think were better.
Camello Anthony (took syracuse all the way and won)
Jordan
Patrick Ewing
Magic Johnson
Chris Webber
etc.

No, because he didnt win anything. I'd go with Carmelo Anthony, simply because he had equal if not better stats AND won the national championship.
