I use a product called Bikini Zone. You can get it at CVS or Rite Aid.
Also, try to get your waxing scheduled early in the day. The reason is, the wax in the salon is fresh and heated up. If you go later the wax has been out and used all day long which makes it thick and can end up tearing you up!!!
I made this mistake and now have damaged follicles because of it. So now, I have to deal with ingrown hairs which is horrible. In fact I use Bikini Zone for ingrowns and after shaving. I wont wax ever again since I experienced the "Wax Nazi"!!! (remember the Soup Nazi on Seinfeld?)
So for red bumps and irritation, Bikini Zone or Cortisone -10.
