Please help. When turning on my Toshiba Satellite Laptop, I get this error message and "An Invalid Parameter was passed to a service or function". When I click OK, the computer goes into a constant loop. I cannot get to the Password sign in screen or start in safe mode. If I use my recovery disc, it will erase the hard drive. I have alot of music I don't want to lose. But, I am willing to sacrifice if need be. If I do erase the hard drive with the recovery disc, will the virus be gone? I understand this condition is caused by the sasser worm/trojan. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Lsass.exe is connected to Local Security Authority and you will find it on both Server and Workstation (Windows 2000 Pro, XP). In short, when there is a problem with lsass.exe, in most cases it means clean install. Sorry for not having good news for you.
